Harrogate League Division 1 : May 26th
The first team had their second win of the season in a hard fought match at home to Harlow A. The match was interrupted by rain at 2-1, and Thirsk clung on to win by 3 1/2 to 2 1/2 with insufficient time to play the third round.
First Win for 2nd Team: May 27th
The 2nds put aside previous disappointments and found some good form to defeat Harlow C away from home by 7 1/2 rubbers to 1 1/2, gaining their first win at the fourth attempt. With some home matches to come they could now move up the table.
Thirsk B Battle On: 27th May
The third team were soundly beaten away at Division 3 leaders Dacre by 8 1/2 to 1/2, but 4 of the rubbers were very closely contested and team spirit is undaunted.
4ths top of the League!: May 27th
The 4th's unbeaten run continued this week with a convincing 6 1/2 to 2 1/2 victory at home to Starbeck B, who were also previously unbeaten. This puts our team clear at the top of the Division 7 league table with every chance of staying there throughout the season.
VOM Defeat at Bedale: 16th May
The Men's VOM league season started off with a 2.5 to 1.5 defeat at Bedale.
Ladies win at Huddersfield: May 1st
The Ladies Yorkshire League team had a long trip to Huddersfield for their opening match of the season, which resulted in a comfortable 6-3 win.
